No, the Velo Column will only work for ceilings up to 10 ft. If you were to place a spacer in the bottom there is a possibility of it becoming unstable.

No the two products are similar in style but not design and the parts are not interchangeable.

The Velo Column’s spring loaded design is only intended for the spring loaded feature to be at the top.
